Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25 in 1970) is an American former football tight end. Gonzalez played in the National Football League from 1997 until 2003. He is considered one of the best tight ends of all time. Additionally, he was the league's top receiver for yards, and the third place in total receptions, Gonzalez also was the NFL tight end who had the most receptions.
Tony Gonzalez, former All-Pro tight-end for the Kansas City Chiefs as well as Atlanta Falcons, is currently working in FOX's Studio. Since the 2017 NFL season began, Gonzalez has been an integral part in FOX NFL KICKOFF, FOX's hour-long NFL pregame show that airs prior to FOX NFL Sunday. It airs every Sunday at 11:15 AM ET throughout the NFL season.
Gonzalez resigned with the Falcons on March 15, 2013, for a deal that was worth 14 million dollars over two years. He did this in spite of his claims that he was going to retire after the season. Randy Moss announced his retirement in 2012 as did Gonzalez (37 years old) played last season as the an NFL's most prolific receiver.
